Love Therapy-Hearing Hearts

In the journey of life, hearts often bear the scars of brokenness and pain. But amid the darkness, there is a divine light that shines with boundless love and healing. As we delve into the Scriptures and draw inspiration from His eternal promises, we discover the profound truth: that casting our cares upon Him brings forth miraculous healing, comfort, and restoration.

We have all been broken and experienced unfulfilled expectations and great disappointments along this journey. I believe that even in this we are to learn some things about life and about ourselves. Firstly, there is nothing wrong with wanting the best for ourselves and our families. We are supposed to have a positive outlook, but things happen. Things happen especially when we are dealing with other people. Guess what? Other people are broken. Hurt people, hurt people. I want to ask that you lay aside your discouragement, offense, and disappointment. What did you find out about you in all of it? Did you rush, assume, presume, get overzealous, or were your motives pure? The magnifying glass can reveal some interesting things when we set it over our hearts.

In maturity, we have to take the time to examine ourselves. If we do not, the choices that we make will not serve us in the way that we originally thought that they would. Our motives are what drives the choices that we make. Most times what we want looks great; on paper.

Holy Spirit leads and guides us into all truth, but that’s not all. The Spirit of Truth also comes to show you, you. Our hearts are longing and hungry. Our hearts have to be hungry for THE TRUTH. Ask Holy Spirit if it is time to change your appetite.

Amid trials and tribulations, we find solace in surrendering our cares to God. Explore the beauty of casting our burdens upon Him, knowing that He cares for us deeply. In His loving embrace, we discover the strength to endure, the courage to show up for Him, uphold His word, and the grace given to forgive others. We must forgive others and ourselves. Isn’t it wonderful to know that God does not count up our offenses? We have not just offended Him, we have offended our own lives by wrong thinking. Let this mind be in you which is also in the Messiah, Yeshua.

You may be a new believer or you may have been on this road for some time. In either case, allow the love of God to wash your pains away. Allow yourself to be cleansed and healed by the word of God. This is how we get clean and stay clean (John 15:3).

What is therapy? The National Institute of Mental Health defines therapy (talk therapy) as referring to a variety of treatments that aim to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. So then what would love therapy do to and for your heart condition? Can you imagine God speaking words of encouragement, edification, adoration, and sharing His vision of your potential and how He sees you?

I think that your heart will begin to mend as He knits a tapestry of love words to you and over you. The Bible mentions singing songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

A heart that loves can hear rightly. A heart that hears can cause your soul to dance in the stillness of His embrace. Oh! What love! Would you look at His sacrifice again? Because Yeshua wants you to know that He thought that you were worth dying for, so tell your heart to beat again.
