The Signature of His Presence

As one comes to understand how to cultivate a relationship with God, there will be many wisdom nuggets available to gather. There will also be mistakes. The beautiful grace that shows up in the life of a believer should and could also be used as fuel for reaching the goal of being called “His.” Have you ever experienced God’s Shalom amid a trial? Have you felt comfort even when alone? The presence of God can be a tangible experience. It can also be confidence and knowing that He is with you. His Presence has been depicted in various instances in the Bible:

In the Garden of Eden; Adahm and Khavah (Eve) enjoyed direct fellowship with God (Genesis 3:8).

In the Tabernacle and Temple: God’s presence dwelled among the Israelites in a physical location (Exodus 40:34-38; 1 Kings 8:10-11).

In Yeshua the Messiah, God’s presence was made manifest in human form (John 1:14).

Through the Holy Spirit: After Yeshua’s’ ascension, the Holy Spirit came to dwell within believers, making God's presence a constant reality (Acts 2:1-4).

The Power and Authority show up as a signature in many ways.

Identity and Recognition: A signature uniquely identifies and represents an individual. In the same way, power and authority are often tied to a specific role or position within a hierarchy, and actions taken by someone in authority are recognized as coming from that position.

Legitimacy: Just as a signature validates a document, power, and authority confer legitimacy to actions and decisions. A person in authority has the recognized right to make decisions, similar to how a signature signifies approval or consent.

Delegation: Authority can be delegated, much like how signing authority can be transferred or shared. When power is delegated, the person receiving the authority acts on behalf of the one delegating it, similar to signing documents on someone else’s behalf.

Power and authority function like a signature by these analogies, providing legitimacy, accountability, identity, delegation, and finality in various contexts.

The Impact of God’s Presence

Experiencing God’s presence can have a profound impact on our lives. It can bring:

Peace: In moments of anxiety or fear, God’s presence can calm our hearts and minds.

Strength: During times of trial, God’s presence can give us the courage and resilience to persevere.

Guidance: When we are uncertain about our path, God’s presence can provide clarity and direction.

Joy: In everyday life, God’s presence can fill us with a deep sense of joy and contentment.

When Yeshua came to tabernacle with us in human form, walked among us, and be touched with all things as we have experienced in this life, it was the beginning of watching how we are to do life. Whenever we are in fear, doubt, and uncertainty, suddenly, we can feel calm as we sense Him saying, “Yes, this is the way.”

This is the signature of His Presence being expressed.

The signature of His Presence comes as a stamp of approval. This "signature" answers our prayers and petitions. It is Yeshua's way of showing that He hears us and that what we need aligns with His will.

The signature of His Presence is evident in the miraculous births through Avraham and Sarah, Zacharyah and Elishevah (Elisabeth). God profoundly showed up in the belly of Miriam, the virgin. He is the God of the impossible. Say to yourself, “Through Yeshua, I’m Possible!”

In modern times, when a doctor expects death or cannot find a cure, the miracle that emerges and the wisdom that rises in its place is the signature of God's Presence.

Meditate on this. Can you recall a time when God gave you a "yes" while everyone else had given up on you or said "no"?

Here are some helpful tips for practicing the Presence of God while nurturing the relationship:

Stay in worship mode

Continue to read the word daily (even if it’s a few verses) You will find comfort and rest for your soul.

Pray when feeling anxious: Prayer is like a force field and energizer that partners with faith.

Stay in community (be around other believers)

Serve others: Look for opportunities to show kindness to others. There will always be an opportunity to help someone or do them a favor.
